Secure readout, analysis and archiving

The latest tachograph and driver card data read from the DAKO TachoKEY or driver card is encrypted by the TachoStation and transmitted to the DAKO data centre. The data is analysed and archived automatically in DAKO Fleet in accordance with the current legal obligations. This allows you to comply with legal regulations easily and securely.

The regular verification of driving licences and driver qualification cards (DQC) often causes unnecessary difficulty. Scheduling deadlines and manual documentation become real time wasters. TachoStation significantly shortens this process with the help of electronic driving licence and DQC checks.

For this purpose, tamper-proof RFID tags are attached to the driving licences or DQCs of all employees. When the regular check is due, your employee places their driving licence or DQC on the TachoStation and waits for the confirmation screen. The verification is automatically documented in compliance with the law and archived in DAKO Fleet. This eliminates the need for a physical inspection.

The TachoStation offers your drivers a central base that is available to them for reading out driving times around the clock. You never have to interrupt your work on the PC to read out driver card data or tachograph data. This not only saves working time but also gives you the freedom to have all data available without any unnecessary distractions.

Thanks to our network of around 450 publicly accessible TachoStations, drivers can also read out data at public stations throughout Germany. You can find the nearest available public readout station here using our TachoStationfinder.

Insert card, wait briefly for the signal, remove card. That is how easy it is to read out driver cards or the DAKO TachoKEY at the TachoStation. There are complicated steps before, during or after the readout process. With the TachoStation, failed readout processes or time-intensive operating instructions are a thing of the past. All that is required is the one-time registration of all your drivers in DAKO Fleet.

It’s that easy:

Readout your driver card
  1. To read out your driver card, insert it into the opening provided for this purpose on the upper right-hand side of the TachoStation.
  2. Follow the interactive instructions on the touch display.
  3. The status light stops flashing and lights up permanently green when you can remove your driver card.
Reading out the DAKO TachoKEY
  1. Insert the DAKO TachoKEY into the opening provided on the TachoStation (lower right side).
  2. Registration with the TachoStation is automatic. Wait for the instructions on the display.
  3. Confirm the start of the data transfer manually on the display.
  4. The colour of the light-emitting diode (LED) on the DAKO TachoKEY informs you about the status during the upload process at TachoStation. Do not remove the DAKO TachoKEY from the TachoStation until the LED lights up permanently green.
  5. The data containers on the DAKO TachoKEY are automatically deleted after successful transfer in DAKO Fleet. You do not need to do anything else. Data that has not been completely transferred (see display on the TachoStation) remains safely stored on the DAKO TachoKEY. In this case, contact our customer support.
Maintenance

TachoStation as a software-supported product is an e almost maintenance-free device. To ensure error-free functionality, it only requires maintenance employing an update that is required from time to time. You will receive this automatically with the Generation 2.0 of the TachoStation.

Cleansing

The TachoStation is extremely easy to maintain. Use the DAKO cleaning cloth to remove light soiling. In case of heavy soiling, wipe the station with a slightly moistened cloth only.

Payment details

In addition to the fixed costs presented in the product overview, further costs arise for the TachoStation:

  • Annual licence fee and maintenance costs of €120.00
  • Software updates to the current release status
  • Device repairs incl. replacement of components free of charge, provided the damage has not been caused by improper handling or use.
  • Provision of a replacement device with a comparable range of functions to the defective device, in exchange for the device requiring repair or replacement within 4 working days of receipt by DAKO, if repair is not possible within this period
  • The hotline is available for an unlimited period of time at the respective landline or mobile phone network rate during DAKO’s normal office hours.
  • Travelling costs and similar expenses for on-site assignments are not included in the scope of services and will be invoiced separately.
